Clocks and stuff

Thanks to mclktravel  (07761 729524 or 0151 284 6476) for getting us to the airport  hotel last night and making our journey relaxed.

After all the excitement of the last few days we managed to stay awake for most of X-Factor but missed the last two acts.

Our check in was due to open at 5.30 so we duly set our alarm (with the extra hour added!) and booked the airport bus for 5am.  Off we went to sleep alarm set for 4.20, guess what we woke up at 5.20am - we now know that the iPhone updates its self automatically!!

We managed to still get the bus at 5:40am and have now checked in and are sitting enjoying the airport lounge.  Helen is happy as she found the smoking area on gate 300 but she has a patch ready for the journey - Tina is so glad not to still have that habit.

Tina has now been physically removed from her iPhone for 1 month, but does have a notebook to keep her technically happy!!

As you can probably guess Tina will be blogging for most of the holiday. But whilst she's away from the notebook I thought i would 'speak'.  Airport lounge really relaxing no screaming kids. lol. gate opens in 15 mins so will log off and chat again after our 15 hour flight to Singapore....

In the meantime check out the Shangri-la hotel in Singapore - Horizon Club Tower Room Deluxe!!

The time has come!!

Well today is the start of the rest of our lives.  Yesterday was the most amazing day for Helen and I.  We had so many friends and family that came to wish us well.  Most of them had severe tears for most of the ceremony as did Helen and I.  We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Auberge Restaurant (Seabank Road) Southport - reservations 01704 530671 with 65 of our close family and friends.

After a short break and photo's by the lovely Elaine Stapleton in Hesketh Park, we departed for Ormskirk Civic Hall where we danced the night away - including the Conga and Ring of Fire and were very well fed by Wendy's Kitchens and had kareoke and discos by Terryoke.

We loved the atmosphere and the smiling faces on all our friends and family when we regaled tales from the day.

We look forward to seeing all of you pictures and hearing your tales.

Thanks so much for your generosity.

Big Love

Last days at work for five weeks

Both Helen and I finished work today for 5 weeks.  Lets hope we can still remember our computer passwords when we get back - but then again what is IT helpdesk for!!

The excitement of going on such a big trip after our Wedding is too much to contain and we are quite often seen and heard proclaiming the number of "sleeps" and sometimes the hours to go to our Wedding and holiday.

Packing

Well tonight was the start of the mammoth packing.

We have never been away for this long and the decisions as to what to take and the space to keep for the shopping we will do is perplexing to say the least.

Nearly done though!!!

Trying blogging

We have never blogged before and thought it would be fun to try whilst we are on our travels for our Honeymoon.

We will try and update as often as possible..
